Privacy policy
How Trekk collects, uses and protects personal data. Effective 19 October 2026.
Who we are
Trekk is a GPS vehicle tracking platform made by Haydrive LLC, Yerevan, Armenia. This policy covers the website trekk.io, the web dashboard at dash.trekk.io, the Trekk mobile app for Android and iPhone, and the Trekk Telegram bot.

Our role and our customers' role
Companies and GPS installers use Trekk to track their own vehicles. The vehicle and driver data in an account belongs to that customer: the customer decides what is collected, who sees it and how long it is kept, and we process it on their behalf. If you drive a vehicle tracked through Trekk, contact the company that operates it first; we will help them answer your request.
For website visitors, people who contact us and the people who sign in to Trekk, Haydrive LLC decides how their data is used, as described below.
What we collect
On the website
- Contact form: name, email, phone, company, type of business, number of vehicles or customers, the topics you choose and your message.
- Where the visit came from: advertising tags in the link (such as utm_source), an ad click identifier, the referring website and the first page you opened. We save these with your request to learn which advertising works.
- Analytics: Google Analytics records the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. It uses cookies.
In the dashboard, the mobile app and the Telegram bot
- Account: name, email, phone, company, role, interface language and last sign-in time. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
- Vehicle data from GPS trackers: location, speed, direction, time, ignition, odometer, fuel level, battery voltage and other sensor readings, and what we calculate from them: trips, stops, street names, distance, fuel use and alerts.
- Driver data entered by customers: name, phone, driving licence number and assigned vehicles.
- Mobile app: a notification token so we can send alerts to your phone, and your language. The app does not read your phone's location, contacts, photos or camera; the map shows the trackers' positions, not yours.
- Telegram: your Telegram user ID and the chats you connect, so the bot can send alerts and answer your commands.
- Activity and technical data: a log of changes made in an account (who changed what and when), IP addresses, browser type and error reports, used for security and support.
- AI assistant: if you ask the dashboard's assistant a question, the question and the fleet data needed to answer it are sent to our AI provider to generate the reply.
How we use it
- to run Trekk: show vehicles on the map, build trips and reports, send alerts and keep accounts secure;
- to answer your requests and provide support;
- to see which pages and advertising bring people to us, and to improve the product;
- to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use our customers' vehicle or driver data for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run Trekk, each for its own task:
- Cloudflare: network delivery, protection from attacks, email forwarding;
- our hosting provider: the servers that store the data;
- Mapbox: maps, and matching recorded positions to roads (receives coordinates);
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): street names for trip start and end points (receives coordinates);
- Google: Google Analytics on the website, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications to Android phones;
- Mailgun: sending invitation and password emails;
- Telegram: delivering bot messages, if you connect Telegram;
- Anthropic: answering questions in the AI assistant, if you use it.
Within an account, people see only what their role and the customer allow: each company sees only its own vehicles. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside Armenia, including in the European Union and the United States. We use providers that protect data under their own published terms.
How long we keep it
- Raw GPS points: 6 months, then deleted automatically.
- Trip and statistics summaries: while the customer's account is active.
- Account activity log: 12 months.
- Contact form requests: as long as needed to follow up, or until you ask us to delete them.
- When a customer stops using Trekk, we delete or hand over their data on request, except what the law obliges us to keep.
How we protect it
All connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes, access in an account depends on the person's role, and each customer's data is kept apart from every other customer's.
Your rights
Under the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Protection of Personal Data, you can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw consent you gave. Write to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia.
Deleting your account
To delete your Trekk account and the personal data linked to it, email [email protected] from the address you sign in with, or ask your company's administrator, who can remove your access in the dashboard. We confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days. Vehicle data belongs to the company that operates the vehicles and is deleted at that company's request.
Cookies and storage
The website uses Google Analytics cookies; you can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. The dashboard and the app store your sign-in and language on your device so you stay signed in.
Children
Trekk is a service for businesses and is not meant for children under 16.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to how your data is used, we tell account holders by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect.
